The proposal of Henry Morgenthau, the President of the Commission of the League of Nations for the Relief of Greek Refugees, to send the Praxiteles Hermes on a tour of America for the purpose of collecting funds to carry on the relief work among the refugees, has been vigorously protested against by the Greek Minister of Education, Limperopoulos.
Minister Limperopoulos has declared that the Government has not yet decided to send this statue on tour, and that he considers it beneath the dignity of the Greek nation to do so, even for the purpose of helping the refugees.
