Herman Bernstein has resigned as a member of the Administrative Committee of the Zionist Organization of America, according to an announcement issued by the Organization. The resignation was accepted with regret and with appreciation for the services that Mr. Bernstein has rendered to the Zionist Organization.
A member of the Administrative Committee for several years, Mr. Bernstein served as Chairman of the Committee for Political Affairs and recently as a member of the Committee on Public Information.
In his letter of resignation sent to Louis Lipsky, President of the Organization, Mr. Bernstein declares: “I need hardly assure you that I shall at all times be glad to be of service to the Zionist cause.”
It is understood that the reason for Mr. Bernstein’s resignation is his engagements outside the country, which will take up a considerable part of his time during the coming year.
