A history of the Joint Distribution Committee, presenting a record of the relief work undertaken during and since the World War, will be prepared by Herman Bernstein, it was learned on Mr. Bernstein’s departure for Europe on the Aquitania. He will return early in July to complete the volume.

Mr. Bernstein stated before his departure that he has severed his connection with “The Jewish Tribune,”

Adoption of a resolution calling of the joint board of directors of the Schnectady, N. Y. Y. M. and Y. W. H. A. to prepare for a building fund drive took place at a joint meeting of both organizations. Officen worked out a plan which they offered to the board headed by Charles Fischer.

The contract for the new synagogue to be erected by the Congregation Shaarei Zedeck, Clinton, Mass. has been awarded and will cost about $40,000. It will be two stories with a basement and anditorium to seat 200. The synagogue will be completed October 1.

Dr. Herman Abramowitz delivered the baccalaureate service to Jewish graduates of McGill University at a special service held at the Shaar Hashomayim Synagogue, Westmount Montreal. At the Shaar Zion Synagogue a special service was also held for Jewish university graduates. Rabbi Julius Berger officiated and Prof. C. A. Brodie Brockwell, chairman of the Department of Semitics at McGill University, delivered the address to the students.
