Herman Goldman, a corporation lawyer and tax expert whose philanthropies benefited many medical institutions in the New York area, died here yesterday at the age of 87. He was a brother of the late Albert Goldman, postmaster of New York. Mr. Goldman was born in the city and was educated at City College and the New York Law School. He represented many foreign and domestic steamship lines and was, at the time of his death, a director of the United States Lines.
