The tenth national convention of the National Workers Trade Union, the labor affiliate of the rightwing Herut Party, opened here last night, with 177 delegates representing 81,000 members attending.
Secretary-General Eliezer Shostak presented a report on labor and wage problems, mandatory arbitrations on disputes in essential national services and national health insurance problems. Labor Minister Yigal Allon and Herut party leader Menahem Beigin also spoke. The convention will end tomorrow.
