The Polish Telegraphic Agency reported from Hessen, a southern German state, that five Jews have been arrested in the township of Hambirn on the charge that they bought and read the Warsaw “Hajnt”, a Polish-Yiddish daily, which has not been forbidden by the German authorities.
The Polish consul intervened on behalf of the arrested Jews, claiming that the sale of the Hajnt is legal.
