Hezbollah is trying to blackmail Israel into releasing Lebanese prisoners, the chief of staff of Israel’s army said. Speaking on Israel’s Channel One television, Lt.-Gen. Moshe Ya’alon reacted to a speech by Sheik Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s secretary-general, saying his organization would kidnap more Israelis and not supply information on captive Israeli Elhanan Tennenbaum if Israel does not release Lebanese security prisoners soon. Israel is holding several dozen Lebanese prisoners.
