Pointing to the passage of the liberalized DP immigration measure by both Houses of Congress, HIAS today called on all persons in this country who intend to execute housing and job assurances for DP’s to do so at once. The appeal pointed out that such assurances have in many cases been delayed because relatives in DP camps were ineligible under the old law, adding that immigrants are processed in the order in which assurances of housing and jobs for them are filed.
