An agreement between the Hias of America and three organizations in Israel, aimed at assisting the settlement of new immigrants in the Jewish state, was signed here last night. The three groups are the Histadrut, the Progressive Party and the Mizrachi Labor Party. Isaac L. Asofsky, executive director of the Hias, signed the agreement on behalf of his organization which will invest $500,000 in erecting new shelters for immigrants and $200,000 in improving the existing shelters.
