Ben Touster, president of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, on his return today from a two-month visit to HIAS offices in Europe and Israel, announced that he had taken up an option to increase the size of the Society’s modern hostel now being built in Beersheba, at an additional cost to HIAS of about $100,000.
The hostel, Mr. Touster stated, will initially house technicians, educators, scientists, engineers, agronomists and other specialists being brought to the Negev for the purpose of building modern cities in that region.
