According to a recent dispatch to the National Catholic Weliare News by its Jerusalem correspondent, Dr. Alexander Mombelli, High Commissioner Chancellor of Palestine is reported to have said to a delegation of Arab women who visited him recently that “I shall try my almost to restore order and peace in Palestine, but you must realize that my powers are limited and that there are things for the Colonial Office to decide. But the future will prove that I have always been a true friend to the Arabs.”
