The Jewish vice-president of the Budapest police, Dr. Schreiber, died yesterday. The city is arranging an imposing funeral in which municipal and government officials will participate as well as Jewish organizations. A special police honor guard will for the first time salute a Jewish cemetery. Dr. Schreiber had always resisted attempts to convert him and won the respect of even the anti-Semitic party leaders.
