The B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations last Friday purchased the Swiss Consulate building in Jerusalem as quarters for the Hillel Foundation at the Hebrew University, it was announced here today by Rabbi Arthur L. Lelyveld, national Hillel director.
“The new Hillel House will serve as a center for cultural and social activities for the students and faculty of the Hebrew University, “Rabbi Lelyveld said. “As such, it will represent a major contribution by B’nai B’rith and American Jewry to the cultural life of the University and of Israel.”
