The 30th anniversary of the founding of the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations was celebrated here tonight at Temple Israel. The principal speaker was Rabbi Arthur J. Lelyveld, national director of the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations.
The celebration, sponsored by the Hillel Committee of the Metropolitan Council of B’nai B’rith, marked the growth of the Hilled Foundations form a single unit in 1923 at the University of Illinois to its present roster of 208 foundations and counselorships at colleges in the United States, Canada and Israel.
