Karl Wolff, 62-year-old former SS General and personal aide to Gestapo Chief Heinrich Himmler, has been charged with complicity in the wartime murder of 300, 000 Jews in Eastern Europe, it was disclosed here today.
A 400-page indictment was submitted to the Munich Jury court against Wolff but the date for his trial was not indicated. Wolff, who has been under detention since January 1962, Joined the Nazi party and the SS as early as 1931.From 1936 to 1943 he was chief of Himmler’s personal staff and, until 1944, he was liaison officer between Himmler and Hitler.
