Dr. Max Frauendorfer, ex-aide to Heinrich Himmler and former SS colonel, said today he is “prepared” to give up his efforts to become a member of the West German Bundestag, the lower house of Bonn’s Parliament.
He had been named to a seat in the Bundestag, recently vacated, by the Christian Democrats in Bavaria, who are allied with Chancellor Konrad Adenauer’s Christian Democratic Union. There have been many sharp press and public protests against his selection for the parliamentary seat.
