Repeatedly protesting his innocence, Hinkis, the Jewish police constable sentenced to death for the murder of five Arabs, is now somewhat more cheerful as he is allowed to have visitors, a supply of reading matter and cigarettes. Starting today the prison authorities are furnishing him with a mattress and other facilities and he is also allowed daily exercise, things to which he is entitled as a Polish citizen.
