The executive of Histadrut, the Israeli federation of labor, today voted a budget of 50,000,000 pounds ($16,667,000) for the next fiscal year. The sum was set after a six-hour debate that followed the annual report by Histadrut’s treasurer, Y. Levi.
Representatives of the Mapai, Ahdut Avoda and the Religious workers’ factions voted in favor of the budget, while Mapam and Liberal delegates abstained. The budget envisages the receipt of 6,500,000 pounds ($2,167,000) from Histadrut campaigns abroad.
