More than $250,000 worth of books — the gift of American publishers — on all facets of American life, are on their way to Israeli libraries, it was revealed in a report to the annual board of trustees meeting of the American Histadrut Cultural Exchange Institute here today. Some 20,000 books have already arrived in Israel, and are being distributed in cities, development areas and kibbutzim. Another 30,000 will be there by March. Rabbi Mordecai Waxman, of Temple Israel of Great Neck, was reelected national chairman at the meeting.
