By a vote of 23 to 17, the Histadrut executive last night adopted a resolution freezing wages for 1950 at their present levels and introducing production goals with bonus payments for greater output.
In introducing the wage-freezing resolution, Sharon Becker, Histadrut official, announced that the freezing action would also affect various conditions of employment, not involving wage payments, annual pay boosts and the question of vacations and promotions.
Mapam representatives opposed the freezing measure and announced that they would appeal to the forthcoming session of the Histadrut council next month.
