The sum of $618,000 was raised by the American Histadrut Development Foundation here last night at a testimonial dinner to Frank Sinatra which concluded the Foundation’s third annual mid-winter conference. The entertainer was presented with the Histadrut Medai of Honor which was accepted in his behalf by his attorney because Mr. Sinatra was ill and confined to bed.
William H. Sylk, Foundation chairman, announced that the Histadrut annuity fund had received commitments totalling $118,000 and that the income and trust funds gained $50,000 and $100,000 respectively. He also announced bequests in the amount of $350,000.
