The extension of Hebrew learning and culture to the schools and colleges of America and fostering of Hebrew literature was discussed this week-and at the annual conference of the Histadrut Ivrith, being held here.
Dr. Israel Efros of Hunter College of the City of New York, President of the Histadrut Ivrith, stressed the importance of the introduction of Hebrew in high schools and colleges in his address to the conference. Abraham Spice handler, secretary of the organisation, pointed to the achievements of the year in the publication of ten volumes by American Hebrew writers.
