Failing to ratify the Ben-Gurion-Jabotinsky peace agreement, the Histadruth, the Palestine Federation of Labor, today submitted new proposals to the Revisionist Labor Federation of Palestine. Regulation of the right to work and arbitration for every labor group in Palestine are features of the proposed new agreement.
The new text was submitted by the Histadruth after the Revisionist Labor Federation issued a proclamation that it “will continue to stand by the basis of the agreement which the Histadruth referendum rejected last Sunday and will endeavor to preclude new clashes.”
Answering this proclamation, the Histadruth, in a letter accompanying the new agreement, said that the Histadruth is ready for a new pact “under certain principles.” The letter invites the Revisionist Labor Federation to empower representatives to clarify the points of the new agreement.
