Jewish organizations are diligently at work in Geneva, flooding the diplomats there with anti-German propaganda, in an effort to drag the great powers into a regular and systematic boycott of Germany, the Voelkischer Beobachter, leading Nazi paper, declares.
“The Jews will find a willing ear among the influential diplomats who eagerly combine Jewish affairs with disarmament problems,” the Beobachter stated.
At the same time, the Voelkischer Beobachter called attention to the presence of Leonard Montefiore, president of the Anglo-Jewish Committee, and Norman Bentwich, former attorney-general of Palestine, in Geneva, where they represent the Board of Deputies of British Jews on behalf of the German-Jewish refugees. The Hitlerite organ declares that the presence of these distinguished British Jews in Geneva is evidence that the Board of Deputies is joining the anti-German boycott.
