Two women and a man behind the Jewish Daily Bulletin reporter, at the Embassy Newsreel Theatre yesterday, evidently were not in sympathy with the mock trial of Adolf Hitler at Madison Square Garden last week. They sat all through the motion pictures of the trial and were consistently hostile to Messrs. Moley, Wise, Smith and LaGuardia on the screen.

In fact, when Professor Moley made so bold as to explain why he hated Hitler and Hitlerism, they attempted to fill the theatre with hisses and catcalls.

But the three self-conscious hisses seemed to fall somewhat flat. And, besides, there was one person who applauded violently in an attempt to drown them out.

SUCH LANGUAGE

When Rabbi Wise appeared they became more vociferous in their hostility. They shouted naughty words.

Former Governor Smith’s denouncement of the Hitler persecutions was greeted with a shout of “How does he know? He wasn’t there.” the audience tittered.

When Mayor LaGuardia was dubbed “ignorant” for his denunciation of Hitlerism, the audience began laughing in earnest.

Following the scenes of the Garden meeting came sequence on the fourteenth birthday celebration of the Nazis in Munich. Here three Nazi demonstrators became violent. They hummed a Nazi anthem. They hummed a Nazi anthem. They stamped on the floor in time with the brownshirt goosestep. They cheered Herr. Hitler. And, as a climax, they shouted, “America, Wait!”
