The progerty of all the Jewish lodges in Stettin has been handed over to the Nazi party branch in that city following raids made Saturday upon the premises of every Jewish lodge there. Nothing incriminating was found in any of the raids.

Among the property confiscated is the large building occupied by the B’nai B’rith in Stettin. A semi-official statement with regard to the confiscation announces that. “it has not yet been decided what use to make of it.”

The fact that the lodges have not been prohibited is interpreted in Jewish circles to be due to the fact that no religious articles have as yet been confiscated.

It is believed that the Berlin authorities are unaware of the raid, which was a local action. This is the first instance of a raid against Jewish lodges and may be a result of the recent campaign against lodges, and the B’nai B’rith in particular, in the Nazi press. Some newspapers went so far as to publish lists of the names, addresses and occupations of the members of Jewish lodges.
