Julius Hochman, vice-president of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and general manager of the Joint Board of Dressmakers, and B. Charney Vladeck, manager of the Forward and member of the Municipal Housing Commission, were to address a meeting of 3,000 strikers of the National Biscuit Company which was scheduled for Friday night at Stuyvesant High School.
The meeting was called by the Inside Bakery Workers Union, 245 West Fourteenth street, affiliated with the American Federation of Labor. William A. Galvin is president of the union.
Representatives of fifty-two federal labor unions, who met Wednesday night, endorsed the strike and pledged their support. The strike is in its third week and affects 6,000 workers in New York and four other cities.
