Plans for the thirteenth annual Chanukah dinner of the Jewish Education Association, designated the Bar Mitzvah Anniversary, will be formulated by a committee of sponsors under the active chairmanship of Supreme Court Justice Samuel H. Hofstadter. The honorary chairmen, in addition to Governor Lehman, are Dr. Cyrus Adler, Adolph S. Ochs, Judge Otto A. Rosalsky and Felix M. Warburg. The honorary vice-chairmen are Mark Eisner, Judge Jonah J. Goldstein, Mrs. Gabriel Hamburger. James Marshal and Judge Nathan Sweedler.

In his letter of acceptance, addressed to Bernard Semel, honorary secretary of the organization, Judge Hofstadter writes:

“I am grateful for the opportunity you offer me to second your efforts in behalf of the Jewish training of our young. This cause has always commanded my profound interest. I know of no Jewish endeavor that is more essential to our present and future welfare. Our faith and traditions represent a trust placed in our keeping for transmission to our children. I hope that our efforts will result in making the Jewish community of New York more conscious of this sacred obligation.”
