Supreme Court Justice Samuel H. Hofstadter will deliver the principal address at the annual meeting of the Jewish Education Association this afternoon at the Jewish Club, 23 West Seventy-third street. Judge Hofstadter will speak on the ideals of Judaism and their potency in the American democracy.
Samuel Rottenberg, a vice president of the Association, will preside. A report on the work of the Scholarship Committee will be given by Jacob Wener, chairman of the committee, which distributes free scholarships in Jewish religious schools. The work of the J. E. A. Mortgage Service, which extends loans for the construction of new Jewish schools and the modernization of others, will be described by its president, Jacob H. Cohen.
Judge Jonah J. Goldstein will report on the Organization and Campaign activities during the past year. Bernard Semel, honorary secretary of the Association, will report the educational activities. Other reports will be given by Mrs. Gabriel Hamburger, chairman of the Ivriah. Judge Nathan Sweedler, chairman of the Brooklyn division of the Association, Harry H. Liebovitz, treasurer, and Murray Rothenberg.
