Funeral services for Mrs. Sally W. Schlager, wife of Cantor Simon Schlager, for thirty years with Temple Emanu-El, were held yesterday morning in the chapel of the temple. The Rev. Dr. Samuel H. Goldenson conducted the services.
Mrs. Schlager died Tuesday at her home, 1710 Montgomery avenue, the Bronx, after a long illness. She was in her sixty-fifth year.
Born in Breslau, Germany, the deceased came here as a young girl with her family. Her husband retired from the cantorate three and a half years ago.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Schlager leaves two children, Mrs. Paul Brown and Harold E. Schlager. Burial was in Salem Fields Cemetery.
