The Jewish Chronicle asserts in its current issue that it appeared “Polish anti-Semitism is not only ineradicable, but not actively resented by those in authority in a temporarily homeless State.”
The paper expressed “great disappointment and indignation at conduct which can only rob Poles of all sympathies and suggest that among the present Polish Government are men who can neither learn nor forget.” The statement was made in commenting on reports that Glos Polski, official Polish organ published in France, was showing a “spiteful” and “contemptuous” attitude to the Jews.
