Claims of Hollywood motion picture producers and dance directors of superiority caused Sam Sax, production head of the Brooklyn-Vitaphone studios yesterday to issue a challenge to any and all dance directors and teachers to produce a team of sixteen dancers that his group of stock trippers in Brooklyn can’t outdance.
He is willing to stage the contest in any hall big enough—Madison Square Garden or the Atlantic City Auditorium, charge admission and give the proceeds to designated charities. Or he is even more willing to give the customers a free treat and put the exhibition on in the Mall at Central Park.
