Holocaust survivors and their families living in Missouri will not be taxed on reparations they receive form foreign governments and businesses, according to a law signed June 8 by Gov. Mel Carnahan. “Much of this law’s value is actually in its symbolism. It’s a clear statement that the state of Missouri will not profit from” Nazi atrocities, said the president of the St. Louis Jewish Federation, Mont Levy.
