Holocaust survivors reportedly will receive payments soon from a settlement reached three years ago with Austrian banks. Lawyers involved with the $40 million settlement with Bank Austria and Creditanstalt said more than 1,000 survivors will begin to receive checks this month for assets seized from Jews by the Nazis, according to The Washington Post.
