The local synagogue containing twenty Torah scrolls was burned down last night in the township of Wlodawa near Lublin. The fire was caused by the careless lighting of candles in the synagogue.
An antique Ark of the Covenant was also burned. The Jewish population in the township is grief-stricken over its loss.
