Honolulu is the latest outpost of the Independent Order B’nai B’rith.

In that city the Louis Marshall Lodge was instituted recently, with a total of 50 charter members, according to Richard E. Gutstadt, executive director of District Grand Lodge No. 4, who has just returned to this city from the islands.

Gutstadt made the trip at the request of the General Committee after Jewish residents of Honolulu had asked to have a lodge instituted there. He was directed to proceed to that end if he found that conditions warranted such a course. He also instituted a ladies’ auxiliary.
