After twenty-five years of service as spiritual leader of Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, Rabbi Eugene Mannheimer was presented with a silver tea service by the members of his congregation last week. Some 125 members of the congregation attended a dinner honoring the rabbi. M. O. Kahn, president of the congregation, presided and presented the rabbi with the gift.
The beginnings of the congregation 57 years ago were recalled by Max Shloss, 75 years old, the only living charter member of the congregation. Jack Campbell, who has sung in the choir of the synagogue for forty-three years, was also a speaker at the dinner.
