Honor Mrs. Solomon, Founder of Jewish Women’s Council

A special message was addressed to Mrs. Hannah G. Solomon of Chicago, founder and the first president of the National Council of Jewish Women, on the occasion of her seventieth birthday, by Mrs. Joseph E. Friend, president of the National Council of Jewish Women, and Mrs. Estelle M. Sternberger, its executive secretary, in behalf of the Council’s Board of Managers.

Tribute was paid Mrs, Solomon in recognition of her contribution to the cause of Jewish women.

A special program was arranged by the Chicago Council Section in celebration of Mrs. Solomon’s seventieth birthday. Mrs. Samuel Alschuler, president of the Section, and former National Chairman of the Department of Social Service, directed the program for this occasion.
