Rabbi Edgar F. Magnin of Los Angeles, was honored on the occasion of his election to the office of Grand President of District No. 4 of the Independent Order B’nai Brith. Mario Hellman was chairman. Dr. D. W. Edelman, president of Temple B’nai Brith, M. J. Finkenstein, past Grand President, Richard E. Gutsladt, Executive Secretary of District Grand Lodge No. 4 were speakers.
Tribute was paid to Rabbi Magnin for his work in the Anti-Defamation League and in the general activities of the Order. About 300 guests were present at the dinner held at the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles.
Rabbi Magnin responded to the addresses.
