A reception in honor of Professor Benedetto Morpurgo was held at Turin University this week to celebrate his completion of 35 years of scientific work. Deputations were present from all the universities of Italy, and the Government and the City f Turin, were represented. The Minister of Education, Professor Fedele, sent a letter of congratulations to Professor Morpurgo, and a telegram of good wishes was received from the King.
Professor Morpurgo has, on this occasion, been elected an honorary member of the Paris Biological Society and of the Berlin Institute for Fighting Cancer.
