Professor Abraham Zevi Idelsohn, noted authority on Jewish religious and folk music, received the degree of Doctor of Hebrew Law from Hebrew Union College. Professor Idelsohn has just completed a ten-volume work, “Thesaurus of Hebrew Oriental Music.” He also holds the chair of Jewish Music and Liturgy on the College faculty.
