Harry L. Hopkins, Federal Relief Administrator, will head a speakers’ list of notable civic and philanthropic figures who will address the opening dinner of the 1934 emergency campaign for the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies next Sunday evening, according to an announcement yesterday by Henry Ittleson, chairman of the committee in charge of arrangements.
“The financial crisis confronting Federation this year,” Mr. Ittleson said, “lends an importance to the dinner unprecedented in Federation’s history. “
Former Justice Joseph M. Proskauer, president of Federation, also will deliver an address.
