A $1, 000, 000 gift by Horace W. Goldsmith, prominent philanthropist and New York stock broker, for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, was announced here today by Dr. Samuel Belkin, president of the university.
The gift will be used to establish the Horace W. Goldsmith patient care pavilion at the university hospital to be constructed on the campus. Mr. Goldsmith, who was born in Chicago, has been a member of the New York Stock Exchange since 1927. He is a founder of the College and has been actively associated with its development for several years. He is a member of Temple Emanu-El.
