The House Foreign Affairs Committee will instigate the Palestine problem, including the question of the arms embargo, at the inclusion of bearings on the present and future structure of the U.S. schedule to ##art Tuesday, Rep. Charles Katon, chairman, said today.
“As I see it,” he said, “Palestine night be the starting point for another ?r.” Asserting that the assumption was that the U.N. was set up to prevent the ?ind of warfars now going on in Palestine, Eaton said the Committee would reopen the ?restion the U.N.’s ability to maintain peace and prevent aggression, and would ?t##y what the U.S. role should be in solving the problem. U.S. delegate to the U.N., ?rren Austin and Secretary of State George C. Marshall have been asked to testify.
