“Aryanization” of the greatest publishing house in Germany, built up by the Jewish Ullstein family, is now completed as a result of the withdrawal yesterday Fromm the governing board of the three remaining Ullsteins, who sold their shares to a syndicate headed by the Deutschemark Diskonto Gesellschaft.
Although real control of the vast publishing enterprise passed from the hands of the Ullsteins over a year ago, the Nazis remained unsatisfied even with the small part interest retained by the family. The three who left the firm yesterday were Dr. Franz Ullstein, Carl Ullstein and Dr. Fritz Ross, business manager.
