The Congressional committee investigating un-American activities in America will resume its work Monday with a private hearing, at which will be probed the aid given in smuggling aliens in on German boats by Bruno Hauptmann, under arrest for extortion in the Lindberg kidnapping, and friends.
Mrs. Pauline Rauch, Hauptmann’s landlady, was recently questioned by Representative Dickstein at his offices, 70 Pine street, at which time she stated that parties lasting until early in the morning were frequently given in the Hauptmann home for German friends.
