A House appropriations sub-committee today decided to reduce by $250,000,000 the appropriation for the seven billion dollar Mutual Security Aid authorization which includes approximately $73,000,000 for Israel. It could not be learned whether or not the portion for Israel would be affected by the cut.
The appropriation bill, which would implement the authorization signed last week by President Truman, will be considered tomorrow by the full House Appropriations Committee. A vote in the House is expected by Friday.
