The Arab delegation returned today from England. Its arrival was an hour late owing to the demonstrations along the rout and the way through the city to the office of the Arab Executive where a reception was held.
No demonstration was allowed within the city, the police commandant and police superintendent shepherding the huge crowd around the Damascus Gate.
Moghanem, one of the members of the delegation, told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the delegation could have had more apparent success if it had not taken a strong line, but he said the country was grateful for the delegation’s uncompromising policy.
Abdul Auni did not return with the delegation but proceeded to Geneva. No statement will be issued by the Arab Executive on the return of the delegation for three or four days.
