Secretary of State Cordell Hull will discuss tariffs and trade agreements in an address before the sixteenth annual convention of the American Farm Bureau here tomorrow.
It is regarded as fairly likely that Mr. Hull will make the occasion an opportunity to announce the conclusion of a $30,000,000 barter deal with Nazi Germany, under which the Reich will receive 500,000 bales of American surplus cotton in exchange for German goods.
Successful negotiation of the deal, in spite of demurrers by anti-Nazi boycott leaders, is reported from Washington to be virtually assured.
