Hundreds of Jewish soldiers stationed with the American forces in Great Britain and Northern Ireland are spending the Passover period at communal celebrations and in private homes through the United Kingdom. Those soldiers who, for military reasons, could not be granted Passover leave or who are confined to hospitals were sent Passover food.
The largest of the communal seders was held in the New London Jewish Centre last night where Chaplain Judah Nadich conducted services for 500 fighting men and women of the United Nations, including scores of Americans. In Northern Ireland services were held in the Belfast Jewish Institute.
